"micreAnts" was born after "ANTZ" and before "Bug's Life". I had seen "ANTZ" in the theater and was unhappy about the character design of the ants. I had thought they looked like mutated humans rather than anthropomorphic ants.. I was certain a cartoony ant design that actually resemble ant faces was possible, so I worked on one. I have been refining the character ever since. 

Almost at the same time I had an idea for a Starship Troopers spoof for my ant to be in.
